Cocoa Crumble Pie

Soooo my fingers were sticky from eating a slice before I took this photo & then I touched the camera lens. Ignore. Oops. This CHOCOALATE pie is EVERYTHING! It is the great rich chocolate flavor we crave, but its ingredients are so simple & organic that you'd never guess it may be healthy!

Anyways, I hope you enjoy because me and all my friends did! :) Xo

Cocoa Crumble Pie Recipe

If you have nut-allergies, try replacing the pecans in the recipe for GF rolled oats; I use Bob's red mill many times & LOVE it.

Crust Layer

- 12 pitted, medjool dates

- 1/4 c unsweetened, shredded coconut

- 1/2 c chopped pecans (or GF oats)

- Pinch of salt

Blend all of your ingredients in your blender, and spread over a pie pan for your crust. If you're like me, the crust is the best part! Take this first recipe and cut it in half for that extra pie crust. :)

Chocolate Mousse Layer

- 1 large avocado (2 small avocados)

- 2-3 tbsp cocoa powder

- 3 tbsp melted coconut oil (Dr. Bronner's is great)

- Stevia/sweetener, to taste (I used about 1 tsp stevia)

Blend all your ingredients together, and pour on top of your crust. Add extra chopped pecans or blended GF oats, on top of the pie. Slice strawberries and top your pie, & refrigerate for at last 1 hour. Enjoy!
