Sweet Potato Teething Crackers

Posted by Nikki Kovacs on

Baby-friendly teething crackers are a great option for soothing little ones during the teething stage. These crackers are specially designed to be easy for babies to hold and dissolve quickly in their mouths, reducing the risk of choking. Made with simple, wholesome ingredients, they are free from added sugars, artificial flavors, and allergens like dairy or nuts. Teething crackers not only provide relief for sore gums but also help develop chewing skills and introduce new textures to a baby’s diet. Always supervise your baby while they’re enjoying teething crackers to ensure safety.

INGREDIENTS:

  • About 1/2 cup of sweet potato/purple potato (your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of gluten free rolled oat, blended (becomes your flour)

STEPS:

  1. Boil sweet potato in water with chamomile bag
  2. Once fork-tender, remove from water and mash using a fork. In your small mixing bowl, add melted coconut oil and flour until dough-like consistency.
  3. Roll dough about 1/4 inch thick using a rolling pin. It’s best to roll dough on a piece of parchment paper.
  4. Using a pizza cutter, slice dough into rectangular crackers and place in oven.
  5. Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes, until firm. Remove from the oven and allow the crackers to cool until breaking them apart.
